USA Electronics and Phone Recycling stats Q3 2014

Hi all, following on our regular series, here’s our latest electronics and phone recycling statistics taken from the www.sellmycellphones.com site for the third quarter of the year (July – September 2014).

I have made the infographic larger in order to include some more statics, this time for the entire year, and quarter on quarter.

This section made some real interesting reading as there has been a huge boom across the industry when compared to quarter two.

I am sure that a contributing factor to the increase is undoubtedly the new handset releases from Samsung, HTC and Apple, no doubt that the release of the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus played a significant part. Continue reading →

iOS 8 review – I rate this update as ‘UNDERWHELMING’

iOS 8 was released yesterday with Apple boasting “This update is the biggest release since the launch of the App Store, with hundreds of new features…..”

Well after installing it and having a little play for a few hours, I have put together a little iOS 8 review along with an overview of some of the new features and my opinion of it.

Apple iPhone 6, iWatch and iPad Air 2 rumor round up

We all know that the iPhone 6 (well two iPhone 6 models) is expected to launch at a September 9^th Apple press conference, much in keeping with previous iPhone releases. It is now also anticipated that this will also be the launch date of the much rumoured iWatch too. Following on from this, there are now persistent rumors that a new iPad Air 2 with a whopping 12.9 inch screen will be unveiled early in November.

Earn extra money in January by recycling your gadgets

Everyone knows that January is one of the hardest months of the year in terms of cash flow, it can really give you the January-blues. You can earn extra money in January though by recycling your old cell phones, tablets, gadgets and electronic devices for cash. Not only will it put some fast cash in your pocket, it will also help the environment.

Christmas is the most expensive time of the year for most people, present buying, extra food and alcohol purchasing and time off work all contribute to you having less (or in some cases ‘no’) money in your pocket at the start of the year once the festive season is over. It is hard for many people but decluttering your old electronic devices can help you earn extra money in January and February in preparation for that next big event – Easter.
