Phone Recycling Industry stats Q1 2014
Hi all, today’s post is the first in a quarterly series where I bring you some interesting American phone recycling industry statistics taken from our website www.sellmycellphones.com analytics.
It is also my first attempt at an infographic, so as Doc Brown once said, “I apologise for the crudity of the model”. I am no designer and I know it’s a lame effort, but hopefully I will get better and of course, it’s the statistics that are the interesting part.

Samsung Galaxy S5 specs revealed at MWC event
As I told you a few weeks ago here, the Samsung Galaxy S5 was unveiled at the Mobile World Congress event yesterday along with a whole host of other handsets and smart watches from some of the World’s leading manufacturers. The S5 was the standout turn though and it is easy to see why, the Samsung Galaxy S5 specs, although not ground breaking, are yet another step up. They have taken the S4 and enhanced it across the board to create another handset that I am certain will appeal to the masses. Continue reading
Galaxy SV launch date looks like this month
It is anticipated that the Samsung Galaxy SV launch date will be this month after Samsung sent out invitations to a media event scheduled for the 24th February to be held in Barcelona. The cryptic invites are titles “Unpacked5” and the flagship smartphone looks like being the star of the show at the Mobile World Congress event that will kick off at 8pm CET and is going to be streamed live on YouTube. Apple smartphone market share increases in Q4
Apple increased their market share in the smartphone market during the fourth quarter of 2013, mainly in thanks to the release of their iPhone 5s and iPhone 5c handsets. It was the first time that Apple had launched parallel handsets and is something that industry insiders had been calling for for several years if Apple wanted to make faster gains in the market. Surely it was common sense that by launching their usual top end model the 5s along with a brighter, more varied and slightly cheaper model, they would maintain their existing fan base and also add extra customers who perhaps didn’t need or couldn’t afford the business like 5s.
