USA Electronics and Phone Recycling stats Q3 2014

Hi all, following on our regular series, here’s our latest electronics and phone recycling statistics taken from the www.sellmycellphones.com site for the third quarter of the year (July – September 2014).

I have made the infographic larger in order to include some more statics, this time for the entire year, and quarter on quarter.

This section made some real interesting reading as there has been a huge boom across the industry when compared to quarter two.

I am sure that a contributing factor to the increase is undoubtedly the new handset releases from Samsung, HTC and Apple, no doubt that the release of the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus played a significant part. Continue reading →

iOS 8 review – I rate this update as ‘UNDERWHELMING’

iOS 8 was released yesterday with Apple boasting “This update is the biggest release since the launch of the App Store, with hundreds of new features…..”

Well after installing it and having a little play for a few hours, I have put together a little iOS 8 review along with an overview of some of the new features and my opinion of it.

Now that the Apple Event furore has died down and before their release on the 19^th September, I thought it would be a good time to bring you the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus official specifications and details. There is certainly a clamour for these new iPhone’s, Apple say there were 4 million pre-orders on the first pre-order date!
